Relinkr Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Relinkr handles information when you use the Relinkr reading tracker and its optional account and translation features.
Information Relinkr handles
- Account information: Firebase Authentication receives your Google account identifier and the profile information Google provides, such as your email address, display name, and profile image.
- Library and reading data: If you sign in and use sync, Relinkr stores saved page URLs, titles, categories, profile names, reading progress, and cover images you choose. This data is used to provide your library and sync it across your signed-in devices.
- Device and sync information: Relinkr stores an installation identifier, device label, platform, and timestamps needed to register devices, protect account limits, and synchronize your library.
- Translation text: If you enable text or image translation, text extracted from the page is sent over the internet to Google's translation service at translate.googleapis.com. OCR recognition runs on the device. Translation is optional and requires your in-app consent before the first use. Relinkr does not intentionally save the extracted page text to its account database.
- Website data: Websites opened in the in-app browser may store their own cookies and data on your device. Relinkr does not receive those website passwords or cookies on its servers.
How information is used and shared
Relinkr uses Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Functions to provide sign-in, account management, library sync, and cover storage. Google processes data for these services under its own terms and privacy information. Text is sent to Google's translation service only when you choose a translation feature and accept the in-app disclosure.
Relinkr does not sell personal information and does not currently use advertising or app analytics SDKs. Data is not shared with other parties for advertising.
Storage and security
Data sent between the app and its services is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Cloud library data is access-controlled to the signed-in account. Some library information and selected cover images are also stored locally on your device.
Retention and deletion
Account and synced library data is retained while your account is active. You can request deletion from Profile → Delete account and data in the app, or use the external account deletion page. A confirmed request deletes your Relinkr authentication account, cloud library, device registrations, stored cover files, and local library on the device used for the request. The app requires a recent Google sign-in before completing deletion.
Firebase and Google may retain limited operational or security logs under their service retention rules. Data stored by Google in your Google account, or by websites you visit, is outside Relinkr's control and must be managed with those providers.
Children
Relinkr is a general-purpose reading tracker and is not designed specifically for children. Users are responsible for choosing websites and content appropriate for their age and location.
